World Environment Day reminds us that we must protect our water

June 5, 2025

Every day should be World Environment Day – and each and every one of us can join in! Together we can achieve great goals, from detoxifying the textile industry to preventing unnecessary food waste.

World Environment Day – Working together for a better future
World Environment Day reminds us how important our planet is to us all. This day is an opportunity to raise awareness of environmental issues, promote sustainable action and work together to find solutions for a healthy planet.
World Environment Day was created to draw attention to challenges such as climate change, pollution, species extinction and resource scarcity, such as water.
We should focus our attention on important issues such as the protection of our forests, the preservation of biodiversity and the sustainable use of resources. Each of us can make a contribution – be it by separating waste, avoiding plastic, switching to environmentally friendly means of transportation or planting a tree. Together, small changes in everyday life can have a big impact. Let’s use World
Environment Day to raise awareness of how valuable our natural world is and work together to preserve it for future generations. Because only together can we create a sustainable world worth living in!

The danger of waste to groundwater – why we need to take care of our environment
Litter is a major problem that not only pollutes our streets and oceans, but also poses a serious threat to our groundwater. Groundwater is an important resource that we use for drinking water, agriculture and industry. But when waste, especially chemical waste, plastic or contaminated waste, enters the environment, groundwater can become polluted.
If waste ends up in the ground or in bodies of water, pollutants can penetrate the soil and accumulate in the groundwater. This happens, for example, when old batteries, medicines, paints or other chemical waste are disposed of improperly. These pollutants can then get into our drinking water and be harmful to our health.
The risk is great: contaminated groundwater can cause illness, endanger people’s health and damage the environment. Cleaning contaminated water is also expensive and time-consuming.
This is why it is so important to dispose of waste correctly, to recycle and to act in an environmentally conscious manner. Everyone can contribute by avoiding waste, disposing of it properly and choosing environmentally friendly products.
Let’s work together to ensure that our groundwater remains clean – for our health, nature and a sustainable future!

Why is clean water our most important resource?
On this day, I would like to remind you of the enormous importance of water, it is our most important foodstuff.
Water is not only vital for us humans, but also for the animal and plant world, the environment and the economy.
Nevertheless, millions of people around the world do not have access to clean drinking water, which leads to disease, poverty and many other problems.
World Water Day reminds us how precious water is and how important it is to protect it and use it responsibly. “Water for all”!
Highlighting the importance of water supply for a sustainable future is an opportunity to raise awareness, promote sustainable water use and find solutions together so that future generations also have access to clean water.
Each of us can make a contribution – be it by saving water in our everyday lives, protecting our waters or getting involved in local initiatives.
Because water is a shared resource that we can only conserve if we all work together.
So on this day, let’s remember how important water is and work together to ensure that it remains accessible and clean for everyone in the world!

World Environment Day should also beWorld Water Day.
World Environment Day and World Water Day are both important days that draw attention to environmental and water issues.

It makes sense to celebrate them on the same day because water plays a central role in the environment.

Water is vital for all living things and our environment is not healthy without clean water. By celebrating World Environment Day and World Water Day together, we can better draw attention to the link between environmental and water issues.

It helps to raise awareness that protecting our environment also means conserving water resources and using them sustainably.
In this way, we can work together to keep our planet livable for future generations.

Water treatment – ecological and sustainable

Due to the increasing contamination of the environment and thus our groundwater, water can no longer simply be drunk safely.
It has to be treated to produce drinking water, i.e. specially purified and filtered. Only gentle filtration guarantees vital, healthy water because the natural minerals remain in the water.
Mineral-rich water is considered vital, healthy water because it contains many important minerals that our body needs for good health. These minerals, such as calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium, support various functions in our body, for example bone formation, muscle and nerve function and water balance.
Mineral-rich water can also help to balance mineral levels, hydrate the body and promote general well-being. It is therefore a natural source of important nutrients that our body needs every day. However, because calcium and magnesium are found in water, lime is formed.
These minerals occur naturally because they are dissolved into the water from rocks and soils as the water flows through the earth. Especially in areas with calcareous rock, the water is rich in these minerals.

Unfortunately, outdated technologies are still used to treat lime. It cannot be said that this is a tradition, but rather a lack of information and environmental responsibility. Many people and companies continue to rely on traditional methods of water softening because they are unaware of more sustainable alternatives or are unaware of technological advances.

If you want to leave progressive pollution behind and focus on innovation, the VULCAN electronic limescale converter is the ecological alternative: treat your water without salt or chemicals, while protecting your water pipes and our planet!  https://aguaris.com/en/product-vulcan/
