Existing installations sometimes require Vulcan to be mounted outside the house.
Due to its electronic contacts, the Vulcan control unit must be protected against rain and moisture.
The impulse bands in particular must be protected against strong sunlight.
The copper strips are sealed in plastic, which protects them from moisture and prevents corrosion.
However, the hot sun in Spain can also damage these impulse strips. We therefore recommend protecting the entire Vulcan unit from moisture and sun.
